Sarah & Robert - October 5, 2019 - Pelican Beach Clubhouse
This wedding has a special place in my heart. Sarah was the first bride to book services with me just 3 weeks after the launch of my business. After I found out they were having a beach wedding I was even more intrigued. Sarah knew what she wanted but needed help facilitating the details and putting together a timeline. I absolutely loved working with this couple!
Coordinating two locations, the wedding party and immediate family got ready at a near-by hotel. Sarah and Rob shared a 'first look' under a beautiful gazebo at the hotel and boy, was it sweet! The bridal party, groomsmen and immediate family then took photos at the hotel so they too could enjoy the full cocktail hour after the ceremony.
Guests arrived and made their way down to the shore.The bride's father made a drift wood arch that decorated the front of the aisle and the groom's brother performed the ceremony. We had just missed some Florida showers and a rainbow was shining behind their ceremony.
After guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the deck and the bride and groom took their photos on the beach, it was time to move into the reception space. The slate blue napkins were the perfect accent of color to this beach clubhouse reception. Soft pink and white florals were in the milk vase centerpieces along with scattered rose petals and candles to finish out the table decor. I absolutely loved the acrylic table numbers that the bride Sarah made! DIY adds a personal touch to any wedding. Designing and styling the guest tables was so special and I am still in awe of how amazing they turned out.
The reception was filled with lots of dancing, a delicious Italian buffet, full dessert bar and meaningful toasts. The couple may have smashed the cake in each other's faces. That was a sweet treat too! The night ended with a fun sparkler exit to send these newlyweds into marital bliss! This wedding, my first wedding, was one for the books!
A few of my favorite highlights included the homemade ceremony arch, table settings and the fact that their dog was included in their beach photos! I mean, how cute?!
